IAAI GloCha DigitalArt4Climate consortium is delighted to announce the joint Call for submissions for the COP27 DigitalArt4Climate Art Competition with
ClimaTechRun 2022, an initiative of Egypt's
Ministry of International Cooperation, the
Ministry of Environment and the
Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The three ministries are joining forces with partners from the private sector and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to harness the power of technology and digital art to combat effectively the climate crisis through ClimaTech Run 2022. This is in the lead up to the UN Climate Conference COP27, which will take place in Sharm el Sheikh in November this year. The lead partner for the ClimaTech Run digital art track is
UNFPA.
IAAI GloCha and the ClimaTech Run DigitalArt4Climate consortiums jointly invite artists and visual storytellers of all ages, especially young creatives to submit their artwork articulating feelings, ideas and visions related to climate change, adaptation to climate change and individual and collective climate action as a source of hope for a global climate safe future.

https://digitalart4climate.awardsplatform.com/A team of curators will prepare a shortlist of finalists, which will be put forward for public voting. Based on the results of the public voting there will be identified one first prize (who will receive 5 000 US$), and additional regional and thematic special recognition awards
(details to be announced).
In addition to these public voting awards there will be one special recognition award selected from submissions from artists from African countries who will also receive a 2000 US$ prize award, sponsored by IAAI GloCha.

On October 6th 2022, public voting for the shortlisted art pieces will start and close on October 23rd. The selection of COP27 art competition finalists art pieces, which will be qualified for public voting, will be accomplished by a team of curators/judges coordinated by the IAAI GloCha DigitalArt4Climate consortium.
During COP27, in November 2022, the COP27 art competition finalists artworks will be exhibited at the COP27 DigitalInnovation4Climate / DigitalArt4Climate pavilion of IAAI GloCha in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Efforts will be made by the DigitalArt4Climate COP27 art competition organizers to facilitate in person participation of COP27 art competition award winners, while aiming to keep the carbon footprint of the initiative as low as possible.
Participating artists will be invited in a separate phase by the IAAI GloCha DigitalArt4Climate consortium to participate also in emerging technologies enabled programs for
DigitalArt4Climate based resource mobilization for youth focused action for climate empowerment. More detailed information will be provided on the digitalart4climate.space homepage in due time.
